An Entropy Based Approach for Test Point Selection

چکیده
An entropr based approach for test nodes or test frequencies selection in analog testing is proposed in this work. Tlre ntetltod uses fault-wise tables which represenl test node anrbiguitt' groups. Fault-wise table is compared to the decision table itt the rough set theon,. Selection of the test poirtts is reduced to selection of fault-wise table columns which do not reduce design diagnosabili4,. This problem can be treated as finding reducts itr a rough set, for which a number of algorithms w'ere developed. Therefore, the proposed entropv based approach is also applicable to other problems w'hich can be solt'ed usirrg the rough set representation. Compared with the ttvailoble techniques such as inclusive and e.rclusive tesl poirtt se lection, the proposed nethod very effectivell' fnds a local ntinimwn for the nwnber of test poirtts needed to isolate the faults.
